Just like so many reviews here, my advice is: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are unprofessional, extortive, and will easily turn nasty on you while they rip you off. Sales called me quickly with an attractive price, but, when the crew showed up, they jacked up fees and extorted me for higher tips or "extra fees".

They overcharged me for 20 days of storage, and the owner only gave me a discount because I was quite polite. Then, they didn't want to schedule a delivery date, only a "ten day window" which was resolved when I offered a decent (or no) tip. They used another company to deliver my stuff, and its owner was a dodgy fellow as well, lied to me, and demanded that I pay the balance in cash!

His crew caused over $2,000 in damages, but the "insurance", 3 months later, only offered $130 upon a notarized signed form. What's more, I found out that there was no insurance company as the website boilerplate of the "insurance" company said in small font!!

I strongly advice anyone to consider a more family- or corporate-owned company. You may pay more upfront, but won't need to go through the ordeal of vague communications, surprise overcharges, rude staff, and totally fake insurance.

This company sucks and made my move so much more stressful. There’s no way to sugar coat this. They damaged many of my things, lost others & f’d up my bed during the “reassembly” (the worker put a few panels in upside down, broke one of the supports, stripped the screws, told me it was too complicated & left. I don’t think it was too complicated as me, a 95 lb girl, was able to fix it). The worker who was in charge was also the RUDEST man I’ve ever met. I told him I was looking for a door stop when he arrived, he rolled his eyes. I was setting cold water bottles out for him on the counter, he demanded that I provide him water without noticing I was already trying to do that. I was in tears by the time they left. On top of all this, I was nickel and dimed the whole way. I’m just so devastated over how my things and myself were treated.

The only reason I gave 1 star is because a 0 star option wasn’t available. They have made this move a living hell. They told me 1 price then charged me another. I believe they pocketed my money. I paid over $5000 to have my items transported just for my glass dresser, glass mirror, 60 inch tv , and kitchen chair to be ruined. I filed a claim on oct 4 and I still haven’t heard anything back from the company. I have left several voicemails and sent multiple emails. The customer service representatives are very rude and lack compassion about my damaged and ruined items. They said they never received a claim even after I sent proof of my claim on Oct 4th. Do not move your items with this company.

Unquestionably the worst company/service I have ever dealt with. Do not use!

During my move, I specifically paid extra to have my large TV professionally packed. During the move, my TV, smoker, and dart board were severely damaged/destroyed ($3000 worth of items). I tipped the movers close to $1,000.

When I called about my damaged items, I was routed to an outsourced claim processing company. 3 months later, I received notification I would receive $50 back. Would absolutely not recommend.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $10000

I had a nightmare experience with this moving company. They miscommunicated every step of the way. Upon picking up my furniture and packing my belongings in their truck they told me the rate was going to be higher than originally quoted despite me clearly articulating each item that needed to be moved in detail. They asked for the payment in cash.

I told them I was going out of town from August 26th-30th and that the furniture would need to arrive either before or after my trip. They proceeded to arrive at 11PM the evening of Wednesday, August 26th.

My belongings arrived with missing pieces, damaged and cracked and they refused to assemble the large pieces of furniture despite that being a term in the contract.

They delivered items that were not mine from other customer's moves and misplaced/lost my items.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3500

I cannot even begin to without being frustrated and angry. This company Big Shoulders and its Broker PriceLine Logistics are the biggest ripoff scam. Beware and be informed. Everything I write can be substantiated with photos and text. Lying on paperwork and changing final costs is considered forgery and is a federal offense which is what Big Shoulders TRIED to do.

I spoke to Ben for 19 minutes explaining the number of items and confirming the square footage we have. PEDRO came to pick up our stuff and TRIED to elicit another $350 from us which he did not get. BEN changed the number of items we had on our original paperwork despite the amount of square footage we had. Then PEDRO said he needed CASH !! We read every box before signing and we told PEDRO we do not need any assisting carrying our boxed into our home since there is a $75/extra step after the 5th step. PEDRO initialed and signed confirming we did not need that service.He also confirmed our final payment of $576.64 upon delivery.

Then MANNY text me saying we need to pay him $1000 and send us a copy of our receipts with his finger covering the final cost. MANNY then said BEN never paid him for the move, then someone checked off on the box that we need help carrying our items upstairs. WE ALREADY HAD MADE COPIES AND TOOK PHOTOS OF THE ORIGINALS. When we told MANNY we had copies of the original and when we told him we will be calling our attorney regarding forgery which is a federal offense, he changed his mind in trying to steal extra money from us. I then called back Big Shoulders and spoke to MARLENE, who verified our final cost of $576.64. BEN has not returned any phone calls or texts. We have joined other dissatisfied customers in starting the process of filing a class-action lawsuit. DO NOT LET THIS PEOPLE RIP YOU OFF. READ BEFORE SIGNING, TAKE PICTURES OF THE TRUCK/ITEMS before and after loading.

I booked my cross-country move with MovingAPT and the sales guy was great "You are covered with us on insuring your things, we use the best movers"....And then QA and scheduling and pickup started. QA was rude and difficult, managers were unwilling to help.

They used Big Shoulders Moving and Storage to move my things which was the worst thing to ever happen. Not only did they take 15 hours to move a 4 bedroom house into a truck. But they took 16 days to get me my things across 1200 miles. My things were delivered with the industrial treadmill broken and unable to be fixed, L shaped executive desk destroyed, 2 book cases broken. When I filed to be made whole... I was offered $75 because they felt that was fair for almost $5000 of product.

Please find and use anyone but this company when you search for a reputable mover.

This company contracted with Belmont Moving and Storage to deliver our furniture. When they were unloading our furniture we noticed that several pieces of furniture was damaged. All the moving boxes had been crushed and so glasses and other items were broken. In addition a large wall painting was missing. When we mentioned these things, the movers told us that we would need to file a claim although they did not tell us how to do that. We filed a complaint with the better business bureau in Florida and only then did we get a response from Big Shoulders Moving and Storage. They seemed helpful but demanded unreasonable documentation of our loss such as receipts for our furniture. Who keeps receipts from furniture that they have had for some time? When we couldn't provide those things they quit corresponding with us. So we paid over 11,500 dollars to get broken furniture and housewares.

Do not use this company or any of their affiliates such as Sky Way Moving or Belmont Moving and Storage.

I used Big Shoulders moving the weekend of August 5th, 2022, house contents were delivered August 11th. I moved from Chicago Illinois suburb to Austin Texas. I was in a time constraint to move so I received quotes from multiple delivery companies. Two of the larger ones priced based on weight, Big Shoulders based it on space taken in the truck. I was told that this was a red flag, but they were $1000 cheaper and a local company, so I decided to give them my business. My initial estimate was $5100 after a detailed inventory was sent. On the day of while walking around showing the movers what was staying and going, most of what I said was ignored and they began packing everything. This included items I had set aside to sell or give away. I had to have them remove them from the truck. They were quick with the move, which was nice, but they left tape rolls and garbage all over the house. They wasted space as well, my daughter has a 3ft tall unicorn stuffed toy, to load this in the truck they put it in a full wardrobe box, by itself. The truck was full by the end.

When trying to pay half the quote, I was told that due to the extra space taken it would be an extra charge of $4500. Truck was already closed and leaving when I was told this. So now my total was $9,600. I was stuck and paid $4000 to get the delivery going. Fast forward to move in day. After unpacking we discovered the 75” TV was broken, 48” tv was broken, my daughters’ bikes were bent, and the key to my motorcycle was missing. Why they took it out to begin with is interesting. We discovered that they unpack the truck in a warehouse then pack it back up before they go out to delivery. The same size truck that arrived was packed much tighter with in the initial quote space. All I can do now is wait for the claims report to come back and I’m not too hopeful based on the service I’ve received so far.

During the process, emails were sent to Joseph Baril, the initial person who gave me my quote. He never responded once to any inquiries. I only received notice, from Steven the dispatcher, after I had filed a claim. Please do not use this company, they will trap you and do what they need to ensure they waste as much space as possible in that truck so they can over charge you.

Service cost: $9000

Not only did the price jump up $2000 after they had already packaged up my whole house because they had to “re-calculate“ but when my things showed up, I lost a treadmill, two bookshelves, damage boxes with damage contents, and they broke an L-shaped executive wooden desk. After going back-and-forth with them about fixing it and making it right, they offered me less than $100 for everything. Do not use them and tell all of your friends to stay far away from these scam artists.

This moving company is hands down the best we've ever used. The team of movers were friendly, efficient, and professional, and they took great care with all of our belongings. They arrived on time and completed the move within the estimated time frame, and we were impressed by their attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Overall, we couldn't be happier with the service we received and would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of a reliable and affordable moving service.

Moving is something that I despise. I'm sure most people don't like it either but for me I really don't like it. So while I searched around for a place I wasn't in the best of moods. I did what I read online to do. Get as many quotes, compare and contrast from the info. It wasn't fun calling around at all but it's the best thing for your wallet and piece of mind so you don't have regrets later. This company looked pretty fine online with multiple great reviews but that's not why I chose them. I chose them because they didn't swindle me into some moving package or try and use some special wording to trick me into using their top notch service. They kept it straight with me. To the point just how I wanted it. I can't stand those places tell you one rate and then you find out it's another. They told me a rate and stuck to the quote. Never adding extras on for unexpected delays. The movers worked hard and the staff handled themselves well. I got a lot of respect for these guys. I'm also normally the one who only writes negative reviews when things go wrong. This time I'm giving credit where credit is due.

Team did a solid job moving belongings for a new business that I was helping open up. Cabinets, chairs, desks, couches were all moved by their staff in a timely manner. Movers listened, worked quick and had a very positive attitude. The quote was very close to the final price that was given. Everything was paid up front and no extra charges were added later on down the line. Movers were great with unloading and placing items where they needed to go as well. All around good company that I would use again if needed.
